Local law firm. Big on expertise

Our experience

Family Law

Everyone in the department is a member of Resolution and is committed to constructively finding solutions in each case.

The department handles both local Surrey/ Hampshire work.

There is no typical family law case at Woodford Stauffer - there may be modest assets or very large finances at issue, a straightforward children dispute or a case with complex evidence. The department offers a high standard of legal advice and client care at a sensible cost.

Clive Barker

Family Law Consultant, Solicitor (Family Law Department)

Clive has practised locally in law for more than 40 years, having joined the firm of Tanner & Taylor immediately after leaving Farnborough Grammar School in the 1960’s.

With the increasing specialisation within the profession, Clive soon discovered that his forte lay with the inter-personal requirements of Family Law. Whilst retaining an interest in other aspects of law, he has concentrated on the areas of Divorce and its financial consequences for many years now.

Over the duration of his career, Clive has established contact with many high quality barristers, which enable him and the firm to offer to clients the best possible advice.

He is delighted to have joined Woodford Stauffer recently, following the conclusion of his time with Tanner & Taylor, where, for some 15 years, he was senior partner.

Outside of office hours, Clive is involved in the local community and in raising money for charities in his dual capacity of Associate Musical Director of the Rushmoor Male Voice Choir and as Guest Conductor with the Aldershot Military Wives Choir.
